Incorporating Ayurveda in your daily life

Hey friends, So,I have this engineer friend who stresses a lot on how should I not use my phone when the battery is crucially low.I know you might be wondering that what's new in that. Thanx to the forwarded WhatsApp messages that we all know about how harmful those rays or whatever you choose to call them can be which are emitted in plenty when the phone's battery is below a certain level. But the main difference between my understanding and his knowledge is that he knows what actually goes inside the device when the battery is low, which means that he has incorporated his learning into his day-to-day practice. You see, from childhood, we are always given a kaadha or in general terms a concoction made of ginger, tulsi etc.when we have a cough or cold. Everyone including your youngest sibling knows that it works on the ailments so what have you gained by studying Ayurveda. Everyone knows those little totkas or the home remedies for ailments such as a minor headache, cough, ...

A snippet of advice for our upcoming ayurvedacharyas :)

You must have started with your lectures probably..till now you would have probably attended the anatomy dissection lab..I know for some of you its the only place which actually makes you feel like a doctor in the first year. The smell of formalin, the sight of the shriveled dead body lying on the dissection table and not to forget the stained aprons...  Till now, you would have probably come across Padarth Vigyan and not to forget the hideous Sanskrit lectures. (especially for those who didn't have Sanskrit in their school)  The 'Natva saraswati devi' would have probably sat on your tongues by this time probably.   It would be a great experience for some learning about the Doshas and off course accessing the Prakriti of their fellow classmates and friends and at the same time it may be a distressing experience for others to come across such unfamiliar terms which one was never acquainted to before joining BAMS. Introduction

So, the results of the PMT exams are out...Weren't able to make to the cutoff for MBBS...cant afford to drop another year preparing for medical and not to forget facing the awkward questionnaire of over-enthusiastic relatives like 'kya padh rahi ho/rahe ho beta? or something like 'kitne saal hue 12th pass kiye?'     You have a few choices left after this- You can entirely drop off your aim of becoming a doctor and enroll for a bachelor's course in science. Can get yourselves enrolled in a biotechnology course Can go for paramedical courses Can go for dental or alternative medicine like ayurveda or homeopathy. If you belong to a family like mine where the mindset is like' Doctor banne se achha kuchh nahiin hota' or something worse like' agar biotech kiya to bahar jakar naukri nahiin kar paogi shaadi aur bacchon ke baad'  or something more chauvinist like ' doctor ban gayi to doctor ladke se shadi ho jayegi'.
